Developed primarily for and offering among the best public access on Lake Thurmond, Baker Creek provides water recreational opportunities near scenic lakeside campsites. The lakefront pavilion accommodates large group gatherings. The 10-mile mountain bike trail also opens up the park's vistas of serene Piedmont forest, land and waterfowl and wildlife.
Description
Elkmont Campground is the largest campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is the closest campground to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The beautiful Little River runs directly through the center of the campground, offering campers the option of camping next to the river. Generator use is prohibited in some sections of the campground so please make sure that generator use is permitted at your chosen site if you wish to run a generator. (Check the map and site descriptions to determine which sites are "riverside" and generator free.)
There are several great hiking trails within minutes of the campground, including the popular Laurel Falls Trail. Little River is also an excellent trout fishing stream. Elkmont is known for its historical and cultural significance as a former logging community and summer resort getaway.

Fort Gibson Lake is located along the Grand (Neosho) River and is nestled in the hills of eastern Oklahoma. The lake draws its name from historic Fort Gibson, which played a prominent part in early day military history of Oklahoma. A reconstructed stockade stands on the site of the first log fort. Now a National Historical Landmark, the stockade is owned by the state of Oklahoma and is open to the public year round. Blue Bill Point is one of six Campgrounds on Fort Gibson Lake that is available for reservations through Reserve America. Reservations are available April 1 - September 30. The campground sits along the banks of Flat Rock Bay, and provides excellent lake access. Whether camping, picnicking, fishing, swimming or just sightseeing, we invite you to come and enjoy the scenic beauty of Fort Gibson Lake.

In Oklahoma's crosstimbers region, the Burns Run East Campground on Lake Texoma provides a desirable atmosphere for those seeking fun and fellowship with good neighbors from far and near. Lake Texoma is a large reservoir with an excellent fishery and many access points. Boating, swimming, skiing, hunting, bird watching, and lounging on the sandy beaches are the typical pursuits of most visitors. The lake features two wildlife refuges, two State Parks, and twenty-three commercial concession areas dedicated to the enjoyment of over 8 million visitors annually. The 440-acre state park has a floodplain forest, in addition to other large tracts of wetlands and woodlands that are home to a variety of plants and animals. The Cherokee / Great Smokies KOA is bordered on one side by the Raven Fork River and on the other side by three tribal trout ponds. Both are stocked twice weekly, so bring your rod and reel for some great fishing! Last year an area on the river was added that is strictly for Fly Fishing- Catch and Release only. The park was built on the bluffs of the Edisto River, the longest free-flowing blackwater river in North America. Description
Ausable Point Campground protrudes from Route 9 into Lake Champlain and offers a shoreline comprised of natural sand and a gentle slope from many campsites. It borders a wildlife management area that offers a hiking trail, as well as water access for canoeists and sea kayakers to explore. With the city of Plattsburgh a short drive from this campground, there is virtually no limit for entertainment opportunities.
Geography:
The majority of the campground was constructed in 1965 and opened to the public in 1966. A view of Valcour Island is available across the lake to the north. On a clear day the silhouette of Garden Island strikes the pose of a battleship. Known locally as "Battleship Island", it is believed that the first major sea battle of the American Revolution was fought at this location.
Recreation:
The park welcomes motor boats, rowboats, and canoes. Lake Champlain offers excellent conditions for sail boarders and boats of all sizes. The area identified as "Stone Jetty" is a designated wind surf area. The lake is a popular fishery, with fish such as northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, lake trout, brown trout, salmon, bullhead perch, walleyes, carp, smelt, eel, crappie, and bluegill.

The East Ashtabula Campground and recreation area is located on 12 developed acres adjacent to Lake Ashtabula. There are 38 campsites located throughout the campground; 33 of these campsites offer electrical hookups. The campground features a picnic shelter, comfort station (equipped with flush toilets and showers), potable rural water, playground, beach and swimming area, and a vault privy. The courtesy dock and boat ramp is located at the parking lot adjacent to the campground. A camp host is located across the road from the campground.

Anderson Road Campground is located on Percy Priest Lake 5 miles east of Nashville, TN. Wildlife in this area includes ever-present whitetail deer, while skunks and raccoons are occasional residents. Visitors here enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming. The campground offers 37 sites. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station, a picnic shelter, a boat launch, and public telephones.
