Part 3 of a 4 part project on How TO Build a Pavestone Retaining Wall. Part 3 deals with the patio in our project and some of the issues we encountered.
We know that compost is a great way to improve your soil for vegetables and flowers. Compost improves soil structure, texture, and aeration and increases the soil’s water-holding capacity. Adding compost improves soil fertility and stimulates healthy root development in plants. The organic matter provided in compost provides food for microorganisms, which keeps the soil in a healthy, balanced condition. Compost has the added benefit of reducing organic substances dumped in landfills. And, if you need an additional incentive, compost is cheap. You can make it without spending a cent.
